Artist Biography— Contemporary Painter from Quebec and Charlevoix
Isabelle Bouchard IB is a contemporary visual artist from Quebec City with deep roots in Petite-Rivière-Saint-François, Charlevoix.
Through a sensitive and intuitive practice, she explores the connections between landscape, memory, and the living world. Shaped by a slow and thoughtful creative process, her vibrant works move between abstraction and figuration, with each composition becoming a space for inner resonance.

Origins and Sense of Place
Born in Quebec City and deeply connected to Charlevoix, Isabelle Bouchard is a contemporary visual artist whose artistic world is rooted in landscape, memory, and emotion.
She divides her time between her studio in Quebec City and the mountains of Petite-Rivière-Saint-François, where she has spent every summer since childhood. These places nourish her imagination and her need to create.
Artistic Vision and Sensibility
Isabelle is recognized for works that explore the balance between abstraction and figuration. Through symbolic landscapes, she conveys an inner vision of the living world, influenced by nature’s contrasts, shifting light, and the gradual transformation of all things.
Each painting becomes a space for sensitive reconstruction, where a dialogue between the visible and the invisible can be felt.
Education and Career
Isabelle holds a Certificate in Visual Arts and completed a graduate microprogram in artist’s book creation at Université Laval. She initially worked in industrial relations before devoting herself fully to art.
As a mother of three, she has developed a patient, intuitive practice grounded in everyday life while pursuing a sincere exploration of the world’s fragile beauty.
Exhibitions and Distinctions
Her work has been presented in Quebec and internationally, including in New York, Amsterdam, Milan, Miami Beach, Barcelona, and Dubai, through in-person, digital, virtual, and print-based exhibitions.
These presentations include Expo Metro in Amsterdam, Milan, Miami Beach, New York, and Barcelona; Artexpo New York with World Wide Art and Artavita; and Artavita’s three-dimensional virtual exhibition, Artist of the Year 2022.
She has received several distinctions, including the 2024 and 2025 Masterful Mind Awards from the Circle Foundation for the Arts. Her work has also appeared in art publications such as Contemporary Celebrity Masters, World Wide Art Magazine, and Les Temps présents.
Community Involvement and Artistic Outreach
Isabelle Bouchard is also highly active within her artistic community. She leads workshops for older adults, participates in visual arts symposiums, and contributes to collaborative projects that celebrate cultural heritage and living memory.
